SUBMISSION: Last night’s dinner: spicy Italian sausage and peppers sandwich.
Charoset and the Hillel Sandwich
Passover Installment #3
Ingredients:
4-5 apples
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
3 tablespoons dry red wine
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2-3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons brown sugar
Instructions:
-Peel and cut apples into small, bit sized pieces.
-Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
-Let sit over night, refrigerated, for best consistency.
The Hillel Sandwich
I perform open face, because the damn matzo always just breaks.
Spread horseradish on a matzo and pile charoset on top. Yum!
